This policy explains how Porthouse & Associates, LLC (“Porthouse & Associates,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information through porthouseassociates.com. The site is operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you purchase a product, we collect your name, email address, and billing details. When you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. If you choose to receive our emails, we keep your email address on our mailing list.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is submitted directly to Stripe and is never received or stored by Porthouse & Associates.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, the referring website, general location (city or region), and device and browser type.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- process purchases and deliver products, receipts, and related messages
- respond to inquiries and refund requests
- send marketing emails, only if you have opted in
- understand how the site is used and improve it
- meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and prevent fraud
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
Service providers
We rely on the following service providers to operate the site and our business. Each handles information under its own privacy policy:
- Website platform provider: website hosting, checkout, customer records, and email
- Stripe: payment processing

We send marketing emails only to people who have opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, you will still receive transactional messages related to a purchase, such as receipts.
Linked sites and services
This site links to services operated by others, including our publications on Substack, the Deliberate Drift podcast site, and the client portal for existing CFO, tax, and bookkeeping clients. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies. Information that existing CFO, tax, and bookkeeping clients provide through the client portal is not covered by this policy.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide products, respond to requests, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. After that, it is deleted or de-identified.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, by emailing hello@porthouseassociates.com. We respond to requests within 30 days. Some information, such as purchase records, may need to be retained to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
